- Rooms must be left empty for 24 hours after cleaning prior to guest occupancy
- Linens and non-washable items are treated with the appropriate disinfecting solution:
- Linens are washed with chlorine or oxygen bleach solution
- Mattresses and pillows are disinfected
- Linens used by suspected infected persons or suspected and confirmed persons are segregated and washed using 80°C hot water
- Proper waste disposal is enforced
- Disinfection protocol in accordance with DOH Department Memorandum No. 2020-0157 and 0157-A for the Guidelines on Cleaning and Disinfection in Various Settings as an Infection Prevention and Control Measure Against Covid-19 and Cleaning and Disinfection of Environmental Surfaces in the Context of Covid-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO) is observed.
- Facility for proper storage, collection, treatment and disposal of used face masks and other infectious waste is in place.
